Raymond and Phyllis Simon Intermediate School is committed to providing an opportunity for every child to attain an appropriate and quality education.  it is our goal to emphasize high expectations of strong character and ethical values to help students learn from each of life's experiences.  Our mission is to equip our students with the tools needed that will enable them to overcome any adversity they may face and become life-long learners.

According to NCLB Simon Intermediate is in Whole School Improvement Year 3 for literacy, based on the 5th and 6th Grade Benchmark Exam given each spring. No school choice is available at this time as Ruth Doyle Intermediate School is at capacity. Students at Simon are receiving consistent and comprehensive literacy intervention. Simon Intermediate met standards in all subpopulations of mathematics and is in Targeted Improvement Year 2 for literacy in the subpopulations of Students with Disabilities, Economically Disadvantaged, and African-American.
